An iconic Japanese anime plus live shenanigans from your favourite local darlings, cabaret superstars, The Bitten Peach!

This year, The Bitten Peach and Fringe join forces in celebration of the 2003 animation TOKYO GODFATHERS as we explore the meaning of chosen family within Queer Asian communities.

In Tokyo on one Christmas Eve as three homeless people discover an abandoned baby amongst the trash, and they set out in the cold to find the baby’s parents.

The screening will be followed by an open discussion and live performances by The Bitten Peach, a Pan-Asian cabaret collective based in London.

We will reserve some spots for unwaged attendees on a first-come-first-served basis. Message us via the Outsavvy booking link to request.

The film has closed captions (CC),
and there is BSL Interpretation for the on-stage performances.

Presented in partnership with The Bitten Peach — Pan-Asian Cabaret Collective

Screening as part of Japan 2020: Over 100 years of Japanese Cinema, a UK-wide film season supported by National Lottery and BFI Film Audience Network.
