Spiritual Artivism Everyday
Friday, 18 September
3.00 PM
Pelican House
Directly from Taiwan arrives J Triangular, the NB Prince, spiritual artivist — a trans tropical samurai punk filmmaker from Colombia. After Thailand, South Africa, Saigon, Hanoi, Medellín, Bogotá, Taichung, Kyoto, Taipei, and New York, the legendary queer artivism workshops for collective care, radical imagination, and unruly self-expression arrive in London for the first time.
The workshop is conceived as an expanded DIY space where poetry, video activism, martial arts, performance, and experimental cinema collide as tools for transforming the present.
Inspired by experimental pedagogies from the Global South, and by survival techniques developed by trans and non-binary people across Abya Yala (South America), the workshop will use accessible technologies, everyday materials, movement, fiction, and radical imagination.
No previous experience is needed—only curiosity and a willingness to experiment. All the pieces will become part of a collective short film: a living collage made from bodies, voices, gestures, and visions, which will be edited by J after the festival.
