Saturday Church is the story of Ulyysses who finds a home amongst other metropolitan queers ejected from their family homes onto the streets, and a newfound logical family of their own making.
A booming and euphoric soundtrack expresses their inner world, building with the pressures of hetero-normativity and toxic masculinity in both school and family settings until Ullysse's inner desire to be free, to be seen, can no longer be kept hidden.
Part realist grit, part emotional soaring musical, Saturday Church is unlike anything ever made before. Featuring some of the stars of Pose before the hit FX show made its undeniable mark on the cultural landscape, Saturday Church is the experience of so many queer youth, made magical. Peppered with powerhouse hits, and cameos from icons like Kate Bornstein, and a star debut from Luka Kain, this is a modern queer classic.
