The Rio Cinema has always been a home for radical and subversive queer cinema, and to celebrate this they’re hosting a gallery show of the queer RIO archive materials and queercore zines, plus radical underground films in the new basement bar all evening. Strong adult sex-positive content guaranteed.

Join us in the RIO's new basement bar space for a peek into the ground breaking counter-cultural and often saucy queer hiss-story of Londons oldest community run cinema, with special emphasis on it's racey days as the Tatler adult-porn-burlesque joint and its moral descent into a notorious man4man cruise joint, only to emerge as a pioneering punk palace of perverted revolutionary new queer cinema in the 70's.
... be prepared to be be shocked and enthralled, and most importantly to buy a for-one-night-only Hibiscus cocktail (in honour of the legendary Cockette)
... steamy shows at 19:15 and 21:15pm - limited space, first come first seated, don't miss out!

CW: contains explicit material
ACCESS: step-free access
