'If I lived with my friends on a deserted island where there are no norms, I might not need to be here' says non-binary 17 year old Amber at the gender clinic.

Amber and best friend Sebastian can do anything and define themselves when they have the support of each other. Things only become complicated when the external world needs an explanation, or when Sebastian falls for Amber's partner.

We kick off our online programme with this revolutionary doc about a new generation of evolved queer young people and their agency over their own lives. Comprising home video and social media footage of the entire 17 years of Amber's life, this film is a feat of modern storytelling, and a touching record of gender today.
