On a trip to Buenos Aires to learn about the Argentinian pirates who conquered California in the 1800s, an American backpacker gets adopted into a squat of queer amateur actors, who rob banks to get funds for their alt-history theatre productions where they get revenge on Henry Kissinger and all the other benefactors of colonial warfare in South America. But their dreams slowly turn to fruition when the ultimate opportunity to get real revenge erupts: they're gonna take the U.S. Ambassador hostage. Expect polyamorous glamour, antifascist intrigue and rewriting the mainstream world in the image of the underground: with totally anarchic unsurveilled freedom for all.

Opening night introduction by festival organizers and partners.
Followed by Q&A with the filmmaker.
