Bearing wings of sharp knives and shooting fireballs into the air, Emma Frankland weaves stories of trans ancestry with an interrogation of the controversial bio-technology of HRT. In this filmed live performance, featuring the music of Mykki Blanco and I am Fya, Frankland connects the cycles of fetishisation, violence and erasure that trans people have experienced for centuries. It’s messy, it’s on fire and it’s politically-charged.

The screening will be preceded by selected short films from the Trans Performance Exchange project, a six month long collaboration between Emma Frankland and Indonesian trans artist, Tamarra.

Followed by Q&A between TGirlsonFilm & Emma Frankland.

Presented in Partnership with TGirlsonFilm.
