School of Fringe! : Black Queer Filmmakers' Conference

Sun Nov 15, 15:30

Talk, Virtual Hub, Free

Not Part of Day Pass, Free Ticket

Narratives by Black queer filmmakers have been, and continue to, be unrepresented in the film landscape. In light of this, Fringe! will be hosting an online interactive conference, via Zoom, with four Black queer speakers that will address the barriers for filmmakers from production to distribution. The four speakers will present exercises, case studies and conversations to provoke growth, networking, and new ways of working. You do not have to be a filmmaker but do need a genuine interest to take part.

Confirmed speakers:
Rico Johnson-Sinclair, CineQ and SHOUT Festival director.
Delphine Lievens, Senior Box Office Analyst at Gower Street who is researching Black British films at the box office.
Tara Brown, Programmer, Fringe! Queer Film & Arts Fest

For Black and POC family only.
