Exhibit, Rio Cinema, Free
Through public art interventions, this exhibition brings queer debates around body hair into public spaces and examines the social and cultural symbolism of hair in the 21st century. Through a queer lens, the artists in this exhibition explore the significance of hair through protest, critique, humour and uninhibited self-love.
This is a collaborative project between vFd and MA Culture, Criticism & Curation (UAL).
Locations include the Rio Cinema and others on Kingsland High Street.
Note: this exhibit runs from 9 - 24 Nov, but pairs nicely with the Rio Cinema Jumble Sale and Zine Fair!
